When someone contacts Salford Citizens Advice, the cause of their problem is often an unfair policy, practice or piece of legislation.
The number of clients we work with each year makes it possible to spot trends and comment with authority on the strengths and weaknesses of different policies. In fact we see it as our responsibility.
In Salford we are involved in a number of City wide forums and networks and we feed our clients’ experiences into strategies and action plans so that you can influence policy makers.
We also like hundreds of bureaux across the country provide anonymised evidence of client enquiries to our national campaigning team, this can be used to inform parliamentary committees and government policy development through parliamentary briefings.
