Problems With Your Rent Deposit?
There are certain key steps you should follow if your landlord refuses to return your tenancy deposit, check on your rights at the Shelter website.
If you decide that you then want to write to your landlord you can use this template to negotiate the return of an unprotected tenancy deposit.

We can provide advice and information on many housing problems,
these include questions about your tenancy agreement, deposits you have provided to your landlord, or maybe you need to know about your rights if you are homeless.
If you are at risk of having your home repossessed, or if you need advice about anti social behaviour then we can advise you about your options and if appropriate represent you.
If you are in rent arrears then we can help you by negotiating with your landlord and housing benefits and we can also represent you in court.
If your housing issue is complex or involves potential loss of your home we may need to refer you to one of our specialist advisers after we have made an initial assessment and asses you for entitlement to legal aid.
